Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police have identified a man who they believe killed a South Side pizzeria owner.
They say 24-year-old Eric Woody should be considered armed and dangerous.
Although they say Woody is a member of the Bloods gang, police do not believe the crime was related to gang activity.
He is wanted for murder in connection to the shooting death of 38-year-old Shqair Shqair during an attempted robbery at Sabatino’s Pizza on Ballantyne Road on Tuesday, Oct. 1.
Police believe Woody was caught on surveillance video during the time of the incident.
Shqair was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injury after several hours.
Police have been looking for Woody for weeks, without success.
His criminal history includes weapons charges.
Anyone who has information on Woody should call Syracuse Police at (315) 442-5222.
All calls will remain confidential.
