Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police are investigating two shootings that occurred in the city late Tuesday night.
Around 11 p.m., police went to Upstate University Hospital after being notified that a shooting victim had arrived at the Emergency Room. The victim, Dorall Hunt, 23, of Syracuse, was transported to the hospital from the area of Midland Avenue near West Newell Street, but police do not know if the shooting actually occurred there. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries after sustaining gunshot wounds to his ankle and torso.
Less than an hour later, police responded to Upstate Medical Hospital after they were told that a second shooting victim had arrived at the Emergency Room. The victim, Alfonso Manning, 24, of Syracuse, told police he was walking on the 200 block of Palmer Avenue around 11:40 p.m. when he heard gun shots and felt pain in his backside. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police do not know if the shooting incidents are related.
