SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police are On the Lookout for suspects in two separate shootings.

The first happened about 2:10 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Beattie Street and Salt Springs Road.

Police say that is where Thomas Aaron, 25, was sitting in his parked car when a man walked up, stole his cell phone and shot Aaron in the chest.

Aaron drove himself to Crouse Hospital and is expected to recover.

The suspect is described by police as a black male in his twenties, 5'9" and weighs 130 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and a black baseball cap.

The second shooting happened at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Garfield Avenue and East Colvin Street.

Police say an officer was at the intersection on a traffic stop when a 16-year-old walked up with a gunshot wound to her foot.

After the girl said she did not know where the shot came from, police say they searched the area but found no suspects or evidence.

The teenager was treated at Upstate University Hospital.

Anyone with any information on either shooting is asked to contact the Syracuse Police Department at 315-442-5222.
