Syracuse Police investigating South Side shooting

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police responded to the scene of a shooting on the city’s South Side on Wednesday evening.
According to police, 39-year-old Michael Kellam said that he was shot by a person in a black sedan.
Kellam was taken to Crouse Hospital for treatment.
Police said they do not believe his injury is life threatening.
The shooting occurred on the 800 block of South Avenue. The vehicle was seen driving south on South Avenue.
