SYRACUSE, NY(WSYR-TV) - Investigators are on the lookout for a man they say pointed a gun at a man, hit him in the face and then fired a shot early Saturday morning.

They say the 45-year old victim got into a argument with the suspect on the 300 block of Coolidge Avenue around 5:30 a.m.

That's when the suspect pulled out a gun and hit the victim in face, causing minor injuries. Police say at least one round was also fired at the victim, but he was not hit.

The suspect stole cash from him and then fled the scene. He was driving a grey colored sedan.  He's described as a black male approximately 5'7" with short hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call Syracuse Police at 442-5222.  All information will be kept confidential.
