Syracuse man sought in connection to mall guard stabbings in suburban Buffalo

Amherst (WSYR-TV) – Police are looking for a Syracuse man who they say is a person of interest in the stabbing of two security guards at a mall in the Buffalo area.

Police believe that Dardrequez Haynes, 24, may have returned to the Syracuse area after the incident.

Haynes last known address is in Syracuse and Amherst Police say they are communicating with local authorities in an effort to find him.

Police say two security guards at the Boulevard Mall in Amherst were stabbed while trying to catch three shoplifting suspects.

The guards were taken to a local hospital. Police do not believe their injuries are life threatening.
