If the Syracuse police department were looking for illegal fireworks use they must be blind. Several cruisers drove down my street while kids were lighting sparklers and firecracker not one of them stopped or said a word. What a crock!!!

useofforce34-I am waving my magic wand over your head. Was not complaining the police are not doing their job. Just stating there are more serious crimes being committed out of and around corner stores "all" year that should be addressed. If the police are using grants for special details like this then make the most of it. If my taxes were to go up due to more officers on the street great. Syracuse has some serious issues with crime etc. We need to do what it takes to correct these issues at the very minimum reduce them.

not for nothing slingblade.... im am no fan of the 420 crowd, cant stand it actually...but in earnest, why do you always bring up the 420 stuff even if it might not be relevant? not trying to be a wise-a**, just curious

what else can we say about the nanny state other than the pilot is blind, def and dumb. he clearly can't see that making the fireworks legal just MIGHT help NY with it's HUGE money shortage... and might encourage some to stay here, but lets wake up , NY will never change for the better it will be a empty state before anyone wakes up in Albany. Happy 4th to all
