Only in Syracuse, boys will be boys.

HOW ARE WE BLAMMING THIS ON THE OFFICER, THATS LIKE SAYIN SOMETHING STUPID LIKE, YOU SHOULD TAKE THE POSITIVE LEAD OF YOUR BATTERY WHEN YOU PARK IT SO NO ONE WILL STEAL IT. THE KID IS A WASTE OF LIFE. A LOSER AND ALWAYS GOING TO BE. THE ONLY BAD THING THAT CAME OUT OF THIS IS THAT HE DIDNT GET SHOT AND KILLED BY THE COPS!!!!

She just looks like she rode the little yellow bus to school. Oh, school, what that??

The DA's office had better not plea bargain this one away. You have several of those billboards around Syracuse heralding " Do the Gun Crime, Do REAL time". Well, Fitz ol' boy, I challenge you to put the hammer down on this turd.

mama29 you are so right. They are too many people on here who have nothing nice to say about our police dept. I hope these people never need them. I'm just glad they recovered this gun. Thank you to the good samaritan who called in and stayed on the phone until they caught the suspect.

Quite a distribution network the wonderful Syracuse resident pictured and his associates have; gun and other items stolen last week and they manage to get them to Syracuse quickly. I'd sit on this Nobel prize candidate winner in the picture until the body armor is recovered to. Then I'd try both of them out on him........maybe keep it from producing any further wonderful offspring.....Yo.

wow, i cant believe some people are blaming the officer, he was off duty in his home where he should feel his property should be safe like anyone else, not realizing that there are people out there that have no care in the world to just ivade your privacy and saftey and take what does not belong to them. Yes, maybe he should have brought it inside and put it in a safe place but what would you say if someone broke into his home and stole it the same thing that it is his fault, these kids should have not been around someone else's home and property and more a less think they can take things whenever they feel like it, plus where is the parents to this kids, how come they have no guidance, it makes you think but dont blame the victim that is our problem in this world we blame the victime not the criminal.

If a picture paint a thousand words.......

Hasn't there been numerous news articles about leaving things in your cars? This sheriff needs to turn in his badge and call it a day. For the gun alone he should be disciplined. But add to that body armor. One of his coworkers can be killed by some deranged person coming at them with this gun wearing the body armor. And this is how guns end up in the hands of 16 and 17 year olds here in the city.
