glad I have an outdoor wood boiler...my natural gas bill drops like a rock in the winter!!!! If I didnt have it my gas bill would average 1000 bucks a month! I can handle 35 bucks a month because of my gas dryer. I spend about 800 bucks a year for wood! Paid for itself in 1 year. I have 1 and only 1 neighbor that complains about the smoke that OCCASIONALLY goes to his yard. OH WELL!!!! Live with it or move! Or pay my gas bill. Price of gas for vehicles always goes up now...cant stop that till they make an electric 2 ton pick-up truck!!

Mine has probably gone down 20 percent. It's ridiculous. My Jeep Wrangler only gets 12-13 mpg anyway, but now it's worse than that with that ethanol. What I don't understand is why we have to use that crap. It costs us more per gallon and it gives us worse mileage. We lose money putting that crap in our tank.

SteveW, you are right on the money, my avg mpg went down exactly 10 percent.

Has anyone seen a gas station that sells non E10 gas? at any octane level. My avg mpg went down 10 percent with E10.

I think it would be great if Channel 9 would interview gas station owners and ask them about why they keep raising their prices. They have to understand that these constant rate hikes are hurting people....especially the working poor and elderly.

Thanks for the response Jennifer. I appreciate it. I did get curious though and did a google search on E10 mileage and saw a lot of real peoples comments on their experience with it. Why don't we ask the people of Central New York how their mileage adds up?

Thanks Jen, just out of curiosity, in dollar figures, how much of my monthly (average person) costs are attributable to the PSC in surcharges, and unidentifiable line charges?

TAMMYG - 10/30/2009 6:16 PM
JENNIFER, YOUR DELIVERY CHARGES WERE CHEAP COMPARED TO MINE,WERE $69.58 TOTAL FOR THE MONTH!!!ELECTRIC WAS $51.24 AND GAS WAS $18.34 ALMOST MORE THAN THE BILL,REDICULOUS!!! TAMG65

D3bbase, They're supposed to be protecting OUR interests and making sure the utilities are playing by the rules. They're a "watch-dog" agency for Power, Telephone and Water companies. They were set-up because in those areas, typically, customers don't have any competition. Before these utilities make any changes, they have to get approval from the PSC
