Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Viewers have read in The New York Times and on Facebook that a power grid drill which would simulate a blow to the system is planned for November.
They want The Real Deal on how the exercise will affect them.
National Grid says it is taking part in the drill - but that it is just a drill.
There will not be any actual shutdown of power, only simulations.
The exercise is being run by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation.
The drill will test the role of government in the event of a catastrophic power failure and how it would work with the energy industry if this event were to ever happen. If there's something you want The Real Deal about, call (315) 446-9900 or email YourStories@9wsyr.com
