Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Federal Trade Commission and shoemaker Skechers have reached a settlement in a class-action lawsuit over the company’s Shape-up toning shoes case in May 2012, but people who are anticipating refunds will have to wait a little longer.
The website SkechersSettlement.com
says the deal still needs the court’s final approval.
They could receive approval any day or many months from now. And then, people expecting refunds will need to wait many more months while claims are reviewed.
The earliest a claimant could expect to see a check is by late summer – barring any appeals.
