Red Creek (WSYR-TV) – A viewer in Red Creek recently contacted NewsChannel 9 regarding a suspicious email she received that appeared to come from the United States Postal Service.

According to the email, a package should arrive in several business days. The directions tell the recipient to click on the attachment to read the tracking information.

According to Maureen Marion of the USPS, however, “The ordinary customer will never get a message from the United States Postal Service providing him or her with tracking information on a package.”

Anyone looking for tracking information must go to the USPS website and enter their own information.
Those who receive such an email should simply delete it.
