Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Verizon recently agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit and customers are still receiving notices in the mail.
The company agreed to reimburse customers who were subject to “cramming charges” between April 27, 2005 and Feb. 28, 2012.
These third party charges on customers’ bills are for services they didn’t authorize or receive – or that cost more than the customers were led to believe.
Those who are eligible could receive the full cost of those charges returned or a $40 flat payment claim.
Verizon is offering a summary of all third-party charges for free to any customer that requests one.
For more information, contact the settlement administrator at 1-877-772-6219. Claims must be submitted by Nov. 15.
