DeWitt (WSYR-TV) – Visage Medical Aesthetics halted its spa services in order to emphasize its medical offerings in August 2011, leaving some customers with spa gift cards in the lurch.
In September, the business told NewsChannel 9 that customers would just need to mail in their gift cards and refunds would be coming within weeks.
Visage Manager Patty Miller says that the refunds are taking a little longer than expected because some requests for cash back on gift certificates are still coming in. Some former customers are also holding up the process because they’re trying to get money back on certificates that expired in 2008 and 2009.
Miller says cards that old can’t be refunded because the move away from skin treatments occurred in August 2011 – long after the certificates became null and void.
The staff anticipates that customers will need to wait about eight weeks to receive their refunds.
