LaFayette (WSYR-TV) - It’s apple time in LaFayette and the volunteers at the Columbian Presbyterian Church are busy making hundreds of pies by hand for the LaFayette Apple Festival this weekend.
Year after year, Central New Yorkers take in the fall favorite with family and friends.
The event is a major fundraiser for the church as they sell hundreds of pies even before the festivities kick off.
The festival is located just off Route 20 in LaFayette at 5330 Rowland Rd., and you will see plenty of signs leading you in the right direction.
Parking is free and admission will cost you $5, but children 12 and under can attend for free.
The LaFayette Apple Festival will run Saturday from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m.
You can find all sorts of apple treats including donuts, fritters, turnovers, and cider. The festival also features craft vendors, a midway, pony rides and storytellers.
