Geddes (WSYR-TV) -- Several of our viewers have asked for an update on the reconstruction planned for Farrell Road in Geddes and they want to know why it hasn’t started yet?

Geddes Town Supervisor Manny Falcone says they had planned to start construction late last year, but were forced to spend several months securing easements.

In early spring, crews will begin to mark the road for safe excavation and reconstruction on Farrell Road between John Glenn Boulevard and the railroad tracks should begin in by late spring or early summer. Falcone says the town should also have a plan in place when construction begins that would keep truck traffic moving along Farrell Road to local manufacturing facilities.
