Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- There’s an alert posted on Interstate 81 North, just before the 690 interchange, indicating that the road will be closed early in the new year and you want to know why.
Gene Cilento with the Department of Transportation says the highway will be closed past the Adams Street off-ramp, starting at 8 p.m. on Friday.
Additionally, the on-ramp from Almond Street to 81 North will be reduced to one lane.
The closure is taking place to conduct some concrete bridge deck repairs. The DOT hopes to reopen the highway by 6 a.m. on Monday.Got a question for the Your Stories team? We’ll try to answer it. Call 446-9900 or email email@example.com.
