Our latest Your Stories Q & A takes up a theme that's become quite popular with many of you lately: "What's in Store?" We have new developments on the retail and restaurant scene around Central New York.

First, in Fairmount. You no longer need to wait for the new Panera's.

Onondaga County's fifth Panera's Bread Bakery and Cafe opened for business Monday, along West Genesee Street near Tully's. Like the others in the Syracuse area, this Panera's has free wi-fi access.

On the east side of Oswego, a McDonald's makeover is about to begin. Many of you have asked about the boarded up restaurant next to the Price Chopper. We're told the demolition is scheduled to begin next Wednesday. On the same spot, a new two-story flagship McDonalds will rise, complete with an inside play-land for kids.

If all goes as planned, it should be open by the end of October. Oswego City Codes boss Neal Smith said the zoning and planning variances have already been granted.
