Cicero (WSYR-TV) – NewsChannel 9 has received several questions regarding a new traffic light at the intersection of South Bay Road and Warren Drive in Cicero.

According to the Onondaga County Department of Transportation, the light is a temporary traffic signal that has been put in place for an upcoming culvert replacement project.

The work will begin at the intersection of South Bay and Tuller roads.

South Bay will remain open to two-way traffic, but Tuller will be shut down.

Currently, the temporary signal is covered in black plastic, but it will be operational once work starts. The DOT says the light will enable neighbors and businesses in the area to safely access South Bay Road.

They have not said how long the work will last.
