Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - If you've driven by, you know work is moving along at the old Steak and Sundae building in Eastwood.

It's been a lengthy project. Now, Syracuse Common Councilor Kathleen Joy says the building is slated for a fall opening.

We could not reach the developer, but Joy says he's still working to do major renovations to the building on the corner of James Street and Midler Avenue.

There is no word yet on what specifically will be opening up in the newly renovated space. Last year, the city said the developer had planned a mix of retail and office space.
