Geddes (WSYR-TV) - Drivers have been complaining about a bumpy railroad crossing in Geddes for a while now, so they'll be happy to know they're finally going away.

The old tracks on Willis Avenue off State Fair Boulevard haven't been used in years.

Geddes town supervisor Manny Falcone says Honeywell has agreed to cover the cost of taking about 60 feet of the tracks out.

Work is about 75 percent complete and should be finished within the next week.

Most of the tracks have been removed and the last step will be paving.

Falcone says he kept getting complaints about the bumpy ride, so he contacted Honeywell and they agreed to help out.

Currently, the company is doing work in the area to clean-up Onondaga Lake.
