Pulaski (WSYR-TV) -- Our viewer Paul in Pulaski is a veteran who shops at the Rescue Mission’s Thrifty Shopper and noticed recently that the stores were no longer offering added discounts for military men and women. He wants to know why?
Liz Poda with the Rescue Mission tells us the organization is in the process of evaluating all of its Thrifty Shopper store discounts to find out which are the most utilized.
The Rescue Mission suspended the veteran’s discount for a period, except at its Watertown store and as a result received lots of feedback from veterans indicating that the discount is used and appreciated.
So, the organization is reinstating the veteran’s discount on Wednesday’s starting February 6.
