Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - A long-awaited and much-debated real estate development in the northern suburbs takes another step forward, and we're also answering your questions about a new office park sprouting in Salina.

It took some time to get this far, but real estate developer and former State Assemblyman Mike Bragman now has the first green light he needs to push forward with a townhouse and commercial development in the Town of Clay.

The town board has given Bragman the zone change he needs for the project.

The planned development is along Taft Road, right across from Wegmans.

The name has changed. It was Woodside Runne; now, it's called Inverness Gardens. Bragman's project is a planned development district, the first ever in Clay. There would be commercial property along Taft Road, and 80 upscale townhomes in back of that.

A lot of people who live in the adjacent Jewel Manor development turned out at public hearings, concerned about possible drainage problems.  Bragman has told us he believes, if anything, his project will improve drainage in that area.  Clay town planners are expecting to see subdivision plans within about a month.

Along Buckley Road in Salina, you've been asking about What's in Store near the Thruway bridge.

The work is underway there on a three-building office complex.  Eric Paparo of Upstate Brokerage says all three will be single story buildings, and several tenants are planned, although he can't name any of them just yet.

The new office park on Buckley Road, he says, should be ready for its first tenants early in 2010.
