Salina (WSYR-TV) -- A fence is up and it no longer appears to be open, so “What’s in Store” for the United Inn Hotel in Salina?

We’re told the building will be knocked down in the next several weeks. The town supervisor says a developer has plans to rebuild and they didn’t want to continue the upkeep of the property while they decide what to do with it.

The more than 140 room hotel was built in 1960 and was also a former Quality Inn. The town supervisor says the aging building was likely the reason for the closure. There is no word on any possible future projects after the demolition.
