Clay (WSYR-TV) -- Many have waited some time for the new Walgreens to open at the northeast corner of Taft and Buckley roads in Clay. The wait will soon be over.
Guy Hart Jr., of the Hart Lyman Companies, developed the site and says Walgreens should be taking possession of the building on or around January 23.
Hart says the chain typically opens within 60 days after that hand-off, but it could be much sooner than that.
Once Walgreens does take possession in that last week of the month, all they’ve got to do is stock it and staff it and then open it. Look for its opening soon.
