Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Development at Destiny USA is still going on and a new phase is seeing signs directing visitors to the mall expansion.
But who is paying for these signs?
According to the New York State Department of Transportation, the mall developer Pyramid covered the cost of the new signs and hired an independent contractor to install them.
In order to complete the work and replace the original signs, Pyramid needed approval from the state through a highway work permit. The developers also paid for the cost of closing off the lanes during the installation.

The state says they decide which landmarks can receive highway signage based on the amount of traffic it generates.
Destiny USA is expected to be the second-most-visited shopping center in the country.
