Auburn (WSYR-TV) – Question: I went to a McDonald’s location in Auburn and bought several Happy Meals – and I asked for milk with one of them. When I checked my receipt, the milk cost an extra 25 cents. Why is that?

Answer: McDonald’s says menu pricing is determined by individual franchises, not by the company.

Pricing and participation at individual locations may vary.

The company says that depending on the location, a customer might pay more for a less popular item than it would for a more popular item.
