DeWitt (WSYR-TV) – The Paradise Market in DeWitt closed a year ago and was supposed to reopen, but never did.
Now, we know it’s closed for good.
The owner of Paradise Plaza, Grazi Zazzara tells us the flea market was making it difficult to attract national retailers to fill up other spaces in the plaza.
Right now, the old Price Chopper, Heckinger's and Dick's Sporting Goods buildings are empty along with some smaller shops.
Zazarra tells us there is a big redevelopment plan in the works.
He won't go into specifics but says a well-known grocery store and clothing chain are interested in the vacant space. We'll keep you posted.
