(WSYR-TV, Syracuse) All but one day (Saturday, July 9th) had a high of 80° or better.  There have even been a couple of 90 degree days thrown in there too.  The daytime warmth, coupled with mild overnight lows, have conspired to push the average temperature for the month a little over 4 degrees above normal.

More warmth is in our future, with the core of the heat possible arriving toward the end of next week.  It's a bit weird, but we haven't had a bona-fide heat wave yet this summer.  We define that as 3 consecutive days of 90 or better.  It's been tough for us to string that type of heat together, but that could change later next week.  Some of the data we've been looking at would suggest highs well into the mid 90s.  This would last for more than a day.
