Adding Insult to Injury...(11-7-12)
Having to deal with the extended power outages and clean up after any tropical system is a monumental task. just ask the folks along the Gulf Coast after katrina. However, what parts of the Northeast and Mid Atlantic states are dealing with today is like adding insult to injury. A full-fledged Nor’easter is churning off the Jersey coast this evening.

Winds of 40 to 60 mph are already buffeting areas from Cape Cod down to the Jersey shore. Add to this, heavy snow has been falling! Here are some of the totals from around the New York City area as of late afternoon.

It is not out of the question that , after tonight, many of the large coastal cities will have their first inch of snow for the season before we do here in Syracuse. We can be thankful that, here in central New York, we missed out on the worst of Sandy and we are just spectators to today’s Nor’easter.
