Rome Free Academy High School

Zachary Oppito, 18, is attending Rochester Institute of Technology in the fall.

Zachary’s religion has helped to shape his beliefs and personality. Outside of school he works at the Delta Lake Bible Center where he has been in the play A Witness For The Prosecution, and has been on two mission trips; one to Texas and the other to Mexico.

He shares a passion for acting and music which came later in high school. He is a member of the Rome Art and Community Center (RAC) Drama Club, assisted with the 6th-8th grade youth group at RAC and volunteers at the Salvation Army.

Zach also works sound room technology for RAC, participates in Bible Club and has taken ball room dancing classes. At SUNYIT, he has taken a Nanotechnology class, a Robotics course and has attended BotCon (transformers conference in California) and NoobieCon (a Japanese video game conference). Zach has many talents and tools to be a successful contributing member of society.

Zach is interested in engineering, robotics, and nanotechnology. He is hoping to some day develop prosthetics that connect directly to the brain and are easier for patients to use.
