1 killed in East Genesee Street crash

DeWitt (WSYR-TV) – An elderly Manlius woman is dead after an accident on East Genesee Street on Monday.

DeWitt Police say Elinor Peth, 82, of Manlius, was pronounced dead after she was transported to a local hospital.

Peth was the only person in the vehicle when it struck a tree near Erie Boulevard.

Police say Peth was trying to turn left from Erie Boulevard onto East Genesee when she lost control of the vehicle and struck another vehicle before hitting the tree.

Police are still investigating the accident.
