Oswego (WSYR-TV) – Two men in Oswego County are facing charges as a result of a Sheriff’s Office investigation into an alleged stolen gun sale.

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office says they charged Scott Campbell, 28, of 188 Kenyon Rd., Mexico, with criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, a misdemeanor.

They say Campbell had a revolver that had been reported stolen from a home in the town of Parish in August.

The Sheriff’s Office also charged 35-year-old Loren Redhead of 248 Potter Rd., West Monroe, with criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, a misdemeanor, and criminal sale of a firearm in the third degree, a felony.

Both men were arraigned in Town of Parish Court and released on their own recognizance.

The Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is ongoing.
