NAPOLI, N.Y. (AP) - State police say two people have been injured and a horse is dead after a car collided with an Amish man's buggy on a rural Western New York road.

Troopers in Cattaraugus County tell WIVB-TV in Buffalo that the collision occurred Wednesday night in the town of Napoli, in the Southern Tier 50 miles south of Buffalo.

Police say the driver of the buggy pulled into the path of a car on Route 242.

The crash impact destroyed the buggy and sent the horse into the car's windshield, killing the animal. The buggy driver and the motorist were injured.

Information on the extent of the injuries wasn't available.
