ABC’s David Muir was inducted into Onondaga Central School’s “Wall of Distinction” on Saturday, along with two other former students.

The inaugural induction ceremony took place before the varsity football game.

Muir, who anchors ABC’s World News on the weekend, graduated from Onondaga Central in 1991. His father Ron Muir was on hand to accept the award.

The district said current students can be inspired by all the inductees.

"Seeing how these people started from a school like Onondaga and then succeeded in you know, the World News, succeeded to be an outstanding athlete, succeeded to be an outstanding military person, it does a lot to get them motivated,” said Onondaga Central staff member Janet Ferris.

The two other inductees include 1955 graduate Bernard Finlay and 1985 graduate Colonel Robert Ramsden.
