Albany (WSYR-TV) -- Some puppies in the Albany area are going home just in time for the holidays.

Back in the fall, two pit bull puppies were found abused and abandoned on some railroad tracks. They were severely hurt and had holes punctured in their paws. Now, “Hudson” and “Pearl” have found new, happy homes.

The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society sifted through hundreds of essays from people wanting to offer the pups a good home and have given them to the two that made the best cases.

Hudson’s leg was amputated by his abuser, but he’s in the process of getting a prosthetic limb.
