Add Target to the list of stores open on Thanksgiving; See hours for five retailers

On Facebook: Should stores open on Thanksgiving Day?

NEW YORK (AP/WSYR-TV) - Target Corp. says it will open its doors at 9:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving, three hours earlier than a year ago, to kick off the holiday shopping season.

The discounter joins several other major retailers that are opening earlier in the evening on the holiday and staggering deals over the two-day period.

Target plans to offer deals on certain cameras and TVs among other items for the earlier opening.

Thanksgiving Hours: Five Stores Opening on the Holiday

Kmart:  6 a.m. – 4 p.m., open again at 8 p.m.

Sears:  8 p.m. – Friday 10 p.m.

Target:  9 p.m. – 11 p.m.

Toys 'R Us:  9 p.m. (some stores Midnight) – Friday 10 p.m.

Walmart:  8 p.m. – Friday 10 p.m.
