JORDAN, NY (WSYR-TV) - The Veterans Memorial Pool in the Village of Jordan opened on Saturday after construction delayed its opening.
Many people in the village were eager for it to open as temperatures reached in the 90’s the last few weeks.
As is the case in many municipalities, the public pool can be more than just a place to swim and cool off.
"I think the pool is like a big part of the community and it’s a social place with a lot of the parents and kids and stuff like that, so it’s really important to have it be open for the public,” said lifeguard Jenna Fried.
