Ithaca (WSYR-TV) – Ithaca Police have arrested a man who they say is responsible for a shooting in April 2011.
According to police, Jamel Booker, 22, of Ithaca, shot another man on the 500 block of West Green Street last spring.
They say Booker fled to Florida after the shooting and went into hiding. On Wednesday, Ithaca Police were told that Booker was back in the Ithaca area and staying at a hotel with another person.
After confirming that Booker was at the hotel, they arrested him without incident.
Booker has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.
