Auburn man convicted of murder in girlfriend's stabbing death

Auburn (WSYR-TV) – An Auburn man was convicted on all seven counts he was facing, including murdering his estranged girlfriend.

In November 2011, Ryan Brahney was arrested for stabbing 29-year-old Bridget Bell to death in her Auburn home while their 3-year-old child slept.

On Thursday, he was convicted on two counts of murder in the second degree, two counts of burglary in the first degree, one count of criminal possession of a weapon, and two counts of criminal contempt.

Brahney is expected to spend 54 years to life in prison.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 25 at 9:15 a.m.
