Baldwinsville teen, Staten Island man arrested after Baker bomb scare

Baldwinsville (WSYR-TV) – Two people were arrested as a result of an investigation into a bomb threat called in to CW Baker High School in Baldwinsville.

With the assistance of State Police, Frank Burgess, 51, of Staten Island was picked up at his residence and brought to Baldwinsville Police, who arrested him on Monday. Burgess was charged with falsely reporting an incident in the first degree, a felony. He was arraigned in Baldwinsville Village Court and taken to the Justice Center on $100 cash bail or $500 bond.

He is scheduled to return to court on Feb. 15.

Police also arrested a 15-year-old Baldwinsville girl. Her name is being withheld due to her status as a minor. She was also charged with falsely reporting an incident. She was released to her family and the matter will be decided in family court.

According to police, the pair met on a chat line and the teenager made a three-way call using her cell phone to call in the threat.
