Nedrow (WSYR-TV) -- A local bank teller is accused of master-minding a scheme that helped her steal nearly $40,000 from customers.

Irene Moraitis, 30, was a bank teller at M&T Bank in the 6,000 block of South Salina Street in Nedrow. Authorities believe she stole from three separate customer accounts.

Detectives say she did it by forging withdrawal slips from unsuspecting customers.

Investigators are reminding all M&T customers to review their monthly bank statements and report any discrepancies.
