Buffalo (WSYR-TV) – The Buffalo Bills have announced that Doug Marrone will be their new head coach.

The announcement was made on Monday after multiple reports surfaced on Sunday indicating that the Bills had tabbed Marrone to turn around a franchise that has failed to make the playoffs since 1999.

In his four years as Syracuse University head coach, Marrone has a 25-25 record and guided the Orange to two victories in three years in the Pinstripe Bowl in New York City.

The Orange went 10-37 in the four years before Marrone’s arrival.

The Bills finished the 2012 campaign at 6-10. They fired Chan Gailey last week.

Marrone reportedly interviewed with the Cleveland Browns last week.
