Body of missing elderly woman found

Minetto (WSYR-TV) -- The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office says the body of an elderly woman was discovered in a wooded area in the town of Minetto on Monday evening.

Authorities say the body was found near W. Fifth Street and Gray Road. They say the body is that of a 78-year-old woman who was reported missing Monday afternoon.

Police do not suspect foul play, but are still investigating.

The woman's identity has not been released.
