Byrne Dairy plans yogurt plant, tourism center in Cortland County

Cortlandville (WSYR-TV) – Byrne Dairy announced on Wednesday that plans are in place to build a yogurt plant and tourism center in Cortland County.

The company said it took a step toward the new development when it arrived at an agreement with the Cortland County Industrial Development Agency to build the center at the Finger Lakes East Business Park in Cortlandville.

Byrne Dairy cautioned that the center is contingent on it receiving state funding and local incentives.
The center would cover 127 acres in the rural community.

The company did not indicate in its press release how many jobs such a center could create.
