Cazenovia (WSYR-TV) – A Cazenovia funeral home director pleaded guilty on Friday to charges that he sexually abused employees and prospective employees.

In October 2011, State Police arrested Brian Tait after a then-24-year-old woman alleged that he subjected her to inappropriate physical exams, saying that he needed to make sure she wasn't allergic to formaldehyde. Additional victims stepped forward after Tait’s arrest, according to State Police.

They said all of the victims described similar incidents. In December, he was arraigned on charges including sex abuse, forcible touching, endangering the welfare of a child.

After pleading guilty, Tait will be sentenced in September to three years probation. If he had been convicted, Tait would have been sentenced a maximum of two years in jail.
