Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - As winter weather rolls into Central New York, many people are preparing their homes to stay warm while saving money.

Although people are already seeing snow, it’s not too late to winterize a house as temperatures continue to drop.

Experts like Bruce McClean of Energy Savers say the key is keeping the air in the home.

Some tricks are as simple as making sure all of the windows are closed and locked down.

Other measures include an investment on the homeowner’s part, like purchasing more energy-efficient windows and light bulbs.
