Clinton County (WSYR-TV) – A man who was 13 when he murdered a 4-year-old in New York’s Southern Tier was once again denied parole on Wednesday.

Eric Smith beat Derrick Robie to death with a rock and also sexually abused him in 1993 in a wooded area in Savona in Steuben County.

Smith is now 32. He has been denied parole five times.

His next appearance before the parole board will be in April of 2014.
