Chobani plant evacuated during ammonia leak

Norwich (WSYR-TV) – The Chobani Yogurt plant was evacuated Monday morning due to an ammonia leak. Three workers were transported from the facility as a precaution.

The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office said the leak is under control, but there is no information available on what caused it.

No decision has been made regarding when the workers would be permitted to return to the plant.
