Town of Mexico (WSYR-TV) – A state commission is publicly criticizing a town of Mexico judge who fought with his girlfriend in a restaurant.

The New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct recommended that Judge Douglas Brian Horton be admonished after the public incident during a Mexico Town Volunteer Fire Department annual dinner at a local restaurant.

According to a release issued by the commission, Horton seized his girlfriend in the restaurant foyer and pushed her down onto the floor.

State Police responded when a person in the establishment called 911.

The woman was not injured in the incident.

A report indicated that both Horton and his girlfriend had consumed several alcoholic drinks.

No one was arrested during the incident.
